Divvy Brings Shared Economy to Australia’s Parking

Parking is stressful, expensive, and time-consuming. While you’re busy circling around the same street corner for the fifth time in search of an available spot, hundreds of secure parking spaces sit unused in corporate buildings.

Divvy — Sydney, Australia-based startup — found a solution.

Launched in 2011, the company builds a smart parking solution, connecting drivers with available parking spaces from a network of hotels and corporate offices, through a mobile app.

“When businesses get on board with the share economy, as well as everyday people, the potential to truly improve how our cities work is exponentially greater,” according to a company website.
