JJ Hornblass, Executive Editor
JJ previously started the first iteration of Bank Innovation back in 2007, and has been working on it ever since. He also serves as President & Chief Executive Officer of Royal Media Group (RMG), Bank Innovation’s parent. He founded RMG in 1995 and oversees all aspects of the New York-based diversified media company. Prior to forming RMG, JJ was on the editorial staff of American Banker, the daily newspaper, and worked as an editor of a business magazine in Hong Kong. As a reporter and editor, he has won journalism awards from the National Press Foundation, Newsletter & Electronic Publishers Foundation, and the Reader’s Digest Foundation. He has a BS in Economics from Yeshiva University and a Master’s from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. He lives in New York City with his wife, two daughters, and son. He counts among his accomplishments one New York City Marathon, two New York City Triathlons and the 2010 Father’s Day 5K, the first race he ever ran with his daughters.
Natalie Mattila, Deputy Editor
Natalie Mattila is a Deputy Editor of Mobility Buzz, and sister publication Powersports Finance. She began her venture with Royal Media Group (RMG), Mobility Buzz’s parent, in January 2016 as Associate Editor, but has since graduated up to Deputy Editor. She now oversees the editorial and production aspects of the two publications. Until her recent move to the Big Apple, Natalie was the Lifestyle Editor for The Daily Sentinel, a newspaper in the deep woods of East Texas. Before the newspaper, she worked more than five years at a travel agency, was a freelance writer, and participated in internships at mystery book publisher Henery Press and HUMID Literary Journal. Some of her creative work has been featured in Gingerbread House Literary Journal, HUMID, and The Diagram. Natalie graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in English and Creative Writing from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas, and now enjoys the big city life in New York City.
Emma Sandler, Associate Editor
Emma Sandler is an Associate Editor at Mobility Buzz. She grew up in Hamilton, Mass., and attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst before earning her master’s in journalism from Northwestern University. She has previously written for the Daily Hampshire Gazette and Forbes.com. She is currently a contributor for ForbesLife, covering fashion and design. When not writing about things on the internet, Emma is usually reading biographies, baking, and perhaps even doing stuff on that very same internet.
